Kathmandu’s first-half sales improve as restrictions ease

UK retailers to see additional £20 billion of home deliveries by 2025

UK retailers are set to witness an additional £19.6 billion of online home deliveries by 2025, according to new research from Metapack and Retail Economics. Online is expected to account for half (49.7%) of total non-food sales by 2025 and 27.3% of UK consumers expect to permanently shop online more. These shoppers and their changed behaviours are expected to support an additional £22.4 billion in online sales compared to a scenario where the pandemic had no impact on shopping behaviours.

Pandora continues click and collect rollout

Pandora is to continue the rollout of click and collect this year after success in 2021. The company said that click and collect is seeing strong interest in the US and accounted for 11% of US online sales last year. The service has since been rolled out to additional markets, including France, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Canada and Australia and is now available in the majority of Pandora’s own concept stores in key markets.

Baby Bunting records higher profits, plans expansion into New Zealand

Retailer Baby Bunting Group has reported strong revenue growth in the first half on the back of market-share gains. The baby goods chain recorded sales of $239.1 million, up 10 per cent, with same-store sales up 6.8 per cent. Net profit after tax was $8.1 million, up by 12.2 per cent.
