City Chic divests EMEA Evans brand business

Plus-size apparel company City Chic has sold its Evans brand to AK Retail Holdings for GBP8 million (AU$15.5 million). The agreement, reached on August 3, also includes the sale of all the inventory in City Chic’s EMEA business. The proceeds from the sale will be used for working capital purposes and to pay the group’s remaining $1.5 million acquisition facility.
