Design studio Linehouse combined stainless steel and meteorites to create a space -themed cafe in central Shanghai as Australian chain Black Star Pastry's first Chinese outpost. Shanghai-based Linehouse designed the space to evoke the feeling of being in space. A terrazzo staircase leads guests upstairs to a dining space.

The business got its first big break in 2003, during the SARS outbreak, when Liu saw an opportunity to capitalise on the burgeoning e-commerce sector and began selling products online to customers who were eager to avoid public spaces. A year later, Liu closed his bricks-and-mortar store and moved the business fully online.

Thick slats of oakwood align to form the balustrade of the store's staircase, which takes customers down to a shoeshine bar. Downstairs, the store has an oak-lined shoeshine bar. The retail space includes a relaxing lounge area with bouclé seating. On the mezzanine level is Notabene's design lab.

Since it was set up in 2008, the organisation has worked with five schools across the country. To further delineate the cat and dog food line, animal characters were designed which appear in the A’s negative space. The pastel colour palette has been inspired by core ingredients – seafood, meat and vegetables.

Pianca presents its latest products for the bedroom and living room: furniture with soft, embracing forms, with echoes of nature and textural balance , designed by Raffaella Mangiarotti, Note Design Studio, and Emilio Nanni. The curves created using a sequence of wooden rods define the space. The Embrace Bed is a protective cocoon.
