Royal Mint releases designs for new 50 pence coin featuring King Charles III

The Royal Mint has today unveiled the first coin to bear King Charles III’s portrait, a 50p coin due to enter circulation later this year. British sculptor Martin Jennings created King Charles III’s official coinage portrait, which was personally approved by the King. To mark the historic moment of the King’s accession, the 50p coin will enter circulation as the coins are produced by The Royal.

The distinct difference between these sites are that V&A East Storehouse is not a museum but a live working store which the public can view.
