Dutch architect Anne Holtrop has used rippled sheets of acrylic to create a water-like partition inside this Parisian boutique by jewellery designer Charlotte Chesnais. The store is set along Boulevard Saint Germain and is the second retail location that Anne Holtrop has devised for the brand. The photography is by James Nelson.

The boutique is rich with decorative features, which the pair says were informed by its location in Forte dei Marmi – a seaside town in northern Tuscany that's popular for its pristine beaches. After entering the glass-fronted Forte dei Marmi boutique, customers pass beneath five arched frames made from twisting timber beams.

Paritzki & Liani Architects has created a minimal interior for a boutique on the Italian island of Ischia, filled with references to local architecture and volcanic geology. Curved architectural forms are mimicked by arched openings and white curtains. With their folded forms, these curtains give a suggestion of tactility.

British architecture studio Al-Jawad Pike has used colourful marble for the interiors of trainer brand Athletic Propulsion Labs’ second flagship store in Soho, New York City. Founder Ariana Waiata Sheehan created the interior design "The pink floor is supposed to feel very warm, womb-like and enclosed," Waiata Sheehan said.

Parisian fashion brand Coperni has collaborated with Swiss furniture company USM Haller to create its first-ever boutique, a shop-in-shop at French department store Printemps Haussmann. The floor of the retail space was covered in Versailles parquet flooring, with each of the wooden floor panels separated by USM Haller's silver tubing.

For its interior, Ciguë designed a minimalist landscape that is "organic and fluid, free from the angst-inducing presence of cars". The Dreams interior was informed by daydreams and the surrealist aspect of dreams, with in-store accessories such as a lobster phone that nods to artist Salvador Dalí's 1938 artwork. At its very end, a large Klein-blue 'rock' adds another dreamlike feel to the interior.
