Chinese studio Neri&Hu has completed two retail spaces for Shanghai fabric and fashion company Jisifang, using wood and concrete to evoke "a more primitive state of being". Skylights on the ceiling, as well as full-height glass windows on one side, fill the space with plenty of natural light.

The retail space showcases the brand’s offerings with floor-to-ceiling digital video screens, a projector, and LED lighting, and features a white aesthetic, mirror, glass accents, and suspended railings. Founded in 2004 in Melbourne, Marais is a high-end clothing brand modelled around the style of a Parisian apartment.

SIMPARCH previously constructed four skate bowls for Supreme, including a small peanut-shaped skate bowl in the previous Los Angeles store in 2004. Inside, steel trusses raise the original roof and open the space with skylights for an illuminated interior.

Located in a former car garage on West 3rd Street in the Beverly Grove area, the shop has floor-to-ceiling windows with black frames that usher light inside. The space was stripped down, revealing wood beams that are now painted white. The result is light, airy and luxurious, yet casual. like Los Angeles.".

Industrial-style details have been incorporated throughout the 80-square-metre space, which the architecture practice said they left in a "skeleton state".
