Al-Jawad Pike creates marble "immersive experience" for APL's Soho flagship in NYC

British architecture studio Al-Jawad Pike has used colourful marble for the interiors of trainer brand Athletic Propulsion Labs’ second flagship store in Soho, New York City. The textured display plinths were developed with a bespoke fabricator based in New York, who CNC-carved the forms. The photography is by Ståle Eriksen.

Ten outlandish shop interiors that reimagine the retail experience

Dutch firm UNStudio has revealed a two-storey flagship store for Chinese technology company Huawei in Shanghai with a facade clad in ivory-coloured petal-like forms. Soft lighting was also integrated between the petal edges to illuminate the store's exterior at night.
