Located within a corner unit on a busy street in the city's Xiaoshan District, the 300-square-metre Audrey boutique sells women's fashion. To contrast with the coolness and rigidness of the concrete and metal, the studio incorporated soft fabrics and retro teak veneer into the design. Micro cement was used to create dramatic shapes.

A living green wall provides a sustainable focal point. The hotel’s location – minutes from the Olympic Park in Stratford – has informed much of the design. An industrial theme runs throughout, and textures of brass and concrete are used to contrast with softer furnishings.

The guest experience here is even moodier – a private bar for the area is wrapped in dark textured timber and dressed in vintage objects and Indian antiques. The focal point of the main are is a 14-foot-tall chestnut oak tree, which acts as an indoor canopy under which guests are seated.
