Founded in 1927, Pan Am – an abbreviation of Pan American World Airways – was the US’s largest international air carrier and unofficial flag carrier during the 20th Century.

Further up on the rooftop terrace, Brooklyn-based artist Edward Granger has been commissioned to create a “multi-faceted, custom ceiling mural”, which can be found underneath the canopy.
