French shoe brand Nodaleto has chosen Miami as the location of its first US store, which New York studio Rafael de Cárdenas designed with sci-fi-influenced red and chrome interiors. Rafael de Cárdenas based the interior on mid-century French design, as a homage to the influence this movement had on sets created for sci-fi movies.

“Opening additional boutiques felt like the next step,” said Bridget Yorston, co-founder and designer of Bec + Bridge. These boutiques are designed by the brand’s in-house design team in collaboration with Interior Architect George Livissianis. Bec + Bridge was founded by Bec Cooper and Bridget Yorston in 2001.

Fashion brand Balenciaga has transformed its Mount Street store in London , creating a maximalist look to launch its Le Cagole collection by blanketing the interior in bright pink faux fur. Balenciaga's Mount Street store was lined in faux fur. Le Cagole bags were placed across the fur-lined temporary displays.

Parisian studio RDAI has designed a store on Tokyo 's prestigious Omotesando street for fashion house Hermès , which was designed to evoke aspects of Japanese nature and culture. RDAI was founded in 1972 by interior designer Rena Dumas and is in charge of Hermès' global retail design.

Paritzki & Liani Architects has created a minimal interior for a boutique on the Italian island of Ischia, filled with references to local architecture and volcanic geology. The design uses local lava stone, tropical plants and a geology-inspired colour palette. Exotic plants line the windows. Photography is by Simone Bossi.

American fashion label Thom Browne has opened its first retail location in San Francisco , designed by ASA Studio Albanese to feature dramatic marble against white slatted blinds. The flagship store is situated at 432 Jackson Street in the historic Yeon Building, which dates back to 1855, in the heart of the city's luxury shopping district.
