They will join other Bestway retailers as part of the wholesaler’s relaunched Retail Development Programme which is running a number of two-day courses in the coming months.

Bestway bought Costcutter, increasing its retail division by 1,500 outlets, in a deal that was completed earlier this year.

Dawood Pervez, managing director of Bestway Wholesale, said: “As a business, we are enormously proud to have developed and be hosting this scheme.

“Further to the changing of regulations, we are pleased to be hosting this year’s programme in person as we know our retailers have missed the direct contact this scheme affords them alongside the opportunity to connect with each other and our suppliers.”

The Retail Development Programme includes events in Glasgow (12-14 October), Heathrow (2-4 November) and Leeds (7-9 December).

The first day will consist of a series of seminars, which will be followed by a trade show showcasing emerging trends across the industry and product innovation.

The seminars will provide retailers with an opportunity to learn best practice on how to best meet their customers’ needs.

Retailers will hear directly from some of the biggest brands in the sector, who will provide company, category and brand performance updates, as well as information about new product launches and marketing activity.

Retailers that attend the events will be eligible to enter the annual Bestway Retailer Development awards which will be staged in London next May.
