Bestway makes ex-McColl’s man marketing chief

Bestway has appointed former McColl’s Retail executive Tim Fairs as its new director of marketing.

Previously customer director with McColl’s, Fairs has also worked for Virgin, Dixons Car Phone Warehouse and Clinton Cards.

In his new role, Fairs will lead the marketing teams in Bestway’s Retail fascias including Best-one, Costcutter, Bargain Booze and Wine Rack.

He will report to report to Kenton Burchell (Bestway group trading director).

Burchell said: “The future is changing fast and Tim’s knowledge and expertise across digital and e-commerce platforms within the broader marketing mix means that together, we can ensure the right products, the right service and the right support to our retailers.”
