The industry has recognized its outstanding contribution to the sector with several top industry awards, from ‘Franchisor of the Year’ at the Grocer Golds in 2021 and this year scooping double accolades of ‘Convenience Retailer of the Year’ and ‘Multiple Community Retailer of the Year’ at the Retail Industry Awards.

A subsidiary of Tesco, One Stop has invested £4,250,000 into its franchise portfolio in the last three years and boasts employment of thousands of colleagues within these stores alone.

Daniel and Craig Wilson’s latest store opening is at 1- 3 Grove Road, Brandon in Durham. A huge success story in their own right, the Wilsons have more than tripled their turnover and store numbers since joining One Stop Franchise seven years ago. They have nearly 200 employees and are making significant contributions to local charities and causes.

One Stop said this double celebration proves that despite economic uncertainty its ambitious growth plans are showing no sign of slowing down.

John Miller, head of franchise at One Stop, said: “At One Stop we’ve quickly and nimbly evolved the brand to find the right formula. However, it’s the endorsement of our franchisees and the industry awards we’ve been achieving which really confirms we’ve got this right.

“We offer time saving processes and technology including a sophisticated EPOS system with stock auto replenishment. We work closely with our franchisees to deliver exactly what they need, when they need it, so there is less stock stored in the shop and a reduction of waste overall.

“As retail experts we provide full support and backing for our franchisees from their own Business Development Manager to a dedicated franchise Action Line.”

Speaking about their 18th successive store opening with One Stop Daniel Wilson said: “I’m excited about this store. It has a great track record and the local community have been looking forward to the opening.

“I never imagined we’d have 18 stores with One Stop, but it’s been a rewarding experience. We feel we can run multiple sites now with ease, and we have seen very consistent growth throughout.”

Miller continued: “All of our stores; company owned, and franchise are treated equally; our success is their success. They’re part of the One Stop family and these milestones are a celebration for all of us.”

Wilson added: “One Stop has its fingers right on the pulse when it comes to advanced data. The information sharing is second to none which has helped us to grow. The mapping data for new sites allows us to survey a lot of potentials. Although we turn many sites down, we know with the ones we take on we’ve had all the right information to create a business that will thrive within the local area.

“We’re certainly looking forward to continuing our partnership with them and opening more stores in the future.”
