The British Retail Consortium (BRC) has linked up with international law firm RPC in an effort to encourage diversity and inclusion in retail staff recruitment.

RPC, which is an advisor to many of the UK’s leading retailers, will help with discussions on recruitment, progression and inclusivity.

The link with the law firm flows the BRC’s launch of its Diversity & Inclusion Charter earlier this year, which aims to support retailers in taking action to reduce inequality in their workforces.

Helen Dickinson, chief executive of the BRC, said: “We are delighted that RPC has joined us as we continue on a journey to make retail a diversity and inclusion leader.

“We are proud of our industry, but we recognise that we have a long way to go.

“RPC’s employment expertise will be a vital asset for our members, helping them to better their businesses and create equal opportunities for all.

“Together, we can make tangible change.”
