The range includes Hula Hula, coconut cream and crunchy wafer in milk chocolate, Buenos Dias, mango and passion fruit in white chocolate, and Marhaba, yogurt, honey and hazelnuts in milk chocolate.

Each bar retails at £1.50 and is available from Bestway and Dhamecha.

The launch is “perfectly timed” to coincide with the Olympic games, when retailers are “looking to focus on international concepts as the world comes together”.

Ritter Sport said 44% of chocolate consumers say they would be tempted to buy a new chocolate product if it had a new flavour.

It said 59% of these consumers say chocolate with an unusual flavour is appealing.

Katy Clark, head of marketing at Ritter Sport, said: “Following huge consumer demand for our limited edition world-flavour inspired range when it first launched in 2020, we were determined to broaden the distribution this summer and offer even more consumers the chance to get their hands on the range.

“Faced with a summer of uncertain travel we hope by bringing back the popular range, we will be able to transport our fans closer to the sunshine from the comfort of their sofa.”
