Barratt debuts ‘Fun and Fantastic’ range for the convenience channel

Barratt has announced the launch of a new range of ‘Fun and Fantastic’ hanging bags for convenience stores as the brand sets its sights on growing market share in the channel.

The ‘Fun and Fantastic’ range offers the consumer a selection of soft gums and jellies in unique shapes created to capture the imagination.

The range is made up of four price marked packs – Dino Mix, Jelly Sharks, Unicorns and Sour Worms, which are set to hit the market this December in the Cash and Carry and wholesale channel, with Dhamecha and United Wholesale Grocers already lined up as stockists. The hanging bags will have a RRP of £1.00 and a pack weight of 100g.

The launch of the new ‘Fun and Fantastic’ PMP range comes as research shows that the gums and jellies product type is worth £536m and equates to 34.1% of the sugar confectionery category, with the soft gum market worth £379m.

The range is aimed at younger consumers with the use of fun and imaginative shapes and colours.
