The weekday edition will increase by 5p to 65p and the Saturday issue will increase by 10p to 95p.

The publisher says the changes will deliver an increased pence per copy margin across the six days and all margins are maintained at their current rates.

The combined price changes are forecast to deliver an extra £12.9m in revenue through retailers’ tills and an additional £2.8m in margin over the next 12 months., News UK adds.

In the letter, News UK retail sales director, Neil Spencer, says: “Thank you for your continued support of the news trade – for getting behind our award-winning Jabs Army campaign to help vaccinate the nation and supporting your communities throughout difficult times. We look forward to continuing to work with you as Britain bounces back.”
