Chauhan has put the Londis-branded convenience store, on Brindle Street, on the market with Christie & Co.

He said: “It has been wonderful to operate this store and be a part of the Chorley community for so many years, but the time has come for me to retire, so I am looking forward to finding the right new owner to take on the business.”

Ashley Cobban, business agent in Christie & Co’s retail team which is handling the sale, added: “This is an extremely rare opportunity to acquire a long-standing, well-established convenience store within a busy residential location, which benefits from the support of the national Londis brand.”
