In August last year, Davies purchased the town’s first bleed control kit, and the “first in Wales”, after reading about the initiative in Independent Retail News. It was installed at the Llanidloes football field. Now, she is pleased to have on sited in the shop too.

Davies posted on Twitter: “Happy to announce we have a #ControlTheBleed kit inside our shop, it is available for anyone to use during shop hours. Thank you for your continued support.”

The campaign to roll out the kits was started by Lynne Baird who established The Daniel Baird Foundation in memory of her son Daniel Baird. He was just 26 years of age when he was fatally stabbed in Birmingham in July 2017, following a night out with friends, in an area where no bleed control kit or trauma pack was at hand to use.
