Mealtime deals include a half-price Co-op beef roasting joint (£7 per kg); Aunt Bessie’s stuffing balls at £1 for 310g; sprouts, carrots and parsnips at 69p a bag; Colman’s cranberry and horseradish sauce pots at £1 and sticky toffee pudding at £2.

Nisa’s offline marketing lead, Chris Walker said: “Almost a quarter of shoppers are planning on spending a bit more on food and drink this year to ensure that Christmas Day, Boxing Day and even New Year’s Eve are extra special, after last year’s pared-back holiday celebrations.”

To further support meals around the big day, Nisa has offers aimed at a cheese and wine night including Co-op Wensleydale & Cranberry Wedge 180g and Co-op Wensleydale & Apricot Wedge 180g on a two for £3 deal, and Yellow Tail Chardonnay at just £6.50 a bottle.

There are other special deals on soft drinks, snacks, confectionery and gifts.

Walker said: “Increasing worries around the spread of the omicron variant further cement the role convenience stores play within their communities.

“Many Nisa Local stores are well placed to conveniently and safely provide customers with everything they will need to make this year’s big day special, without breaking the bank.”
