For the first time ever, two separate series of the hit ITV format will air during the same year.

WKD, which has been associated with the show for the past two years, will be the official alcohol partner for both series nine (January to March) and series 10 (in the summer).

The brand hopes the tie-in will “create further momentum for an already buoyant WKD performance”.

WKD will highlight its partner status via a series of platforms, including social media, digital and “influencer” activity.

Alison Gray, head of brand for WKD at parent company SHS Drinks, said: “To be teaming up with Love Island for a third year is testimony to just how successful the association has been and how well it has gone down with both customers and consumers.

“The success of the partnership is a key reason behind WKD’s impressive recent performance.

“Consumers and stockists can look forward to another year of fun, innovative Love Island-related activity from WKD and, with two Love Island series in a year for the first time ever, we are doubly happy and doubly confident that this really is a win-win, win-win scenario.”
