Frozen pasta brand rolls out into Spar stores

The range is available in Fusilli, Penne and Macaroni shapes in one-kilogram bags, retailing at £3.09 per pack.

The pasta can be cooked in boiling water for 30 second, microwaved at 800W for two minutes and 30 seconds or pan or wok fried for three minutes.

The brand said the range meets the needs of families “increasingly looking for quick meal solutions”.

It said pasta was one of the top four grocery items bought during the first Covid lockdown and “remains one of the four items that households expect to continue consuming more of moving forward”.
