Some 300 Nisa stores now offer deliveries through several different partners – including Deliveroo, Snappy Shopper, Uber Eats and Jisp.

For Deliveroo, the highest order volume for Nisa retailers was recorded in the final week of December 2021, with almost 5,200 orders placed.

Meanwhile Snappy Shopper reported its best month ever in December 2021, with 13,234 orders placed with Nisa retailers via the app – an increase of nearly 12% compared with the previous month and 2.3% better than the next-best month, which was July 2021.

Latest numbers for Uber Eats were also impressive, with growth of 88% in sales when comparing 2020 with 2021.

Jisp has also seen an increase in orders of about 25% over the year.

James Taylor, head of central operations at Nisa, said: “It’s important we provide Nisa partners with solutions that work for them.

“We have partnered with the four different businesses to ensure the varying needs of our partner base are met.”

As part of the plan to further support retailers with their delivery services, Nisa’s field team have been trained to make sure they are equipped to advise and support partners when deciding what solution best works for them.

Regular meetings with each provider help identify ways to improve the service available to retailers by ensuring the delivery firms understand the requirements of Nisa’s independent retailers.

Taylor added: “Many shoppers have now come to expect some sort of delivery service from their local stores, particularly in light of Covid, so we’re working closely with the range of providers and continue to see some fantastic successes for our partners across the whole of the UK.”
