The 3,000sq ft Spar has an ATM, PayPoint and lottery and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is also a drive-through Starbucks.

The store is supplied by wholesaler CJ Lang and has a wide range of food-to-go.

Mike Leonard, sales director for Spar Scotland, said: “We are very excited to see the EG group Spar Elgin site open. The variety of facilities and services the site offers will deliver real benefits for local residents and visitors.

“This new forecourt sees our partnership with EG group extend even further and we know this store will prosper in the future.”

Elgin Business Park is the largest industrial estate in the north of Scotland.

CJ Lang & Son distributes to more than 350 Spar stores across Scotland.
