In this post, we travel back in time to January 2020 to look into some interesting exaples of the exhibition design.

Back then, Design and Crafts Council of Ireland organised a trade fair called the Showcase Ireland. ‘Showcase’ gives national and international buyers the best of Irish design.

Here, I share with you the best of the exhibition stand design from this fair.

The showcase of passion, talents and great exhibition design

Beautiful hall of Royal Dublin Society was full of unique, creative and, mostly, handmade design. Once a year it is an excellent opportunity to promote and sell Irish design. Good to know that, Design Ireland keeps promoting handmade treasures all year round. Check #madelocal campaign to discover Irish brands and their unique products.

Let’s discover some special design gems from the Showcase Ireland 2020.

Not only passionate designers and creatives but also innovators shared their life stories. Literally, you could find all sorts of products there. From handmade soaps, scents and bio cosmetics to jewellery, ceramics, paintings, art prints and furniture. The number of talents under the RDS roof was impressive.

Meanwhile, let’s look closely at the exhibition design.

The showcase of great exhibition design and visual merchandising

In my post, I share with you beautiful stands I spotted during Showcase Ireland 2020.

Showcase Ireland 2020 in RDS, Dublin, Ireland

The Handmade Soap Company

First, let’s see the glimpse of this stand on the short video.

Graphic style, a la old fashion store interior with little shelves and bottles. Cardboard lamps and plants . Black and white but powerful visual. Absolutely convincing storytelling. On top of that, my impression was that this 2D design felt like a three-dimensional interior.

Here’s how ‘cruelty-free and vegan-friendly’ products have been presented.

And how about mixing organic with metal?

As we can see in Jill Graham stand design – it works. Beautiful natural garland of plants is a simple, but striking design focal point.

Rebecca Killen Ceramics

What I like about this stand is that it uses simple materials. Plywood, pegboard and flamboyant floating bouquet of pampas grass (if I’m not mistaken). This combination kills this stand! Big bravo!

Dollybird Art

Here is a sneak peak to Dollybird Art stand. Supernatural we could say, as they are inspired by wildlife. have a look at their incredible work.

But when it comes to the stand design, see below at the short video. Again, yellow is the colour that stands out this season. Also, seen in the previously presented Killen Ceramics. Handmade dry plants bouquet couldn’t fit better.
