After an almost five-year break, Victoria’s Secret will relaunch its World Tour this autumn as a feature-length film, featuring artists and designers worldwide.

The reimagined show, which will be webcast internationally, is part of the brand’s “commitment to championing women’s voices, perspectives and experiences”.

The film focuses on the VS20 – a group of 20 creatives from Bogota, Lagos, London, and Tokyo – who will create four fashion curations. The designs aren’t restricted to lingerie and could incorporate dresses or outerwear.

Victoria’s Secret high-profile, glamorous shows took place from 1995 to 2018 and were popular in the 2000s. However, in 2018, Victoria’s Secret battled to repair its public image following a discrimination incident involving its then-marketing executive Ed Rezak, who said that no transgender or plus-size models would be included in the brand’s marketing, one of several scandals to hit the brand at the time.

“This film is the ultimate expression of the Victoria’s Secret brand transformation,” said Raúl Martinez, EVP and head creative director at Victoria’s Secret.

“It will be driven by fashion, glamour and entertainment with a nod to beloved iconography from the past but in a bold, redefined way.”

Earlier this year, Victoria’s Secret former CEO Amy Hauk announced her resignation hours after the completion of the lingerie giant’s acquisition of Adore Me.
