The last edition of the Summit, held in 2023, achieved unprecedented scale, boasting nearly 280 exhibitors. Notably, this number included over 70 emerging industry professionals representing almost 50 novel companies.
The surge in attendance growth was attributed to two fresh elements, as outlined by the organizers. In previous editions, participation in the in-person summits was exclusively accessible to members of the event’s host organizations, namely the American Pet Products Association (APPA), the Pet Advocacy Network, the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA), and the World Pet Association (WPA).
However, in 2023, the criteria for registration were broadened to encompass any business operating within the pet care sphere. Additionally, a special incentive in the form of a discounted registration rate for first-time attendees played a pivotal role in attracting an impressive 76 participants from 50 distinct companies, setting a new attendance record, according to the event’s organizers.
