Wegmans to Open Manhattan Location

Gourmet grocer Wegmans (Rochester, N.Y.) will open an 82,000-square-foot store at 770 Broadway in Manhattan, reports Retail Estate Weekly.

“We are so excited to bring Wegmans to Manhattan. This is something we’ve been dreaming about and working toward for a long time,” said Colleen Wegman, president and CEO of Wegmans, which opened its first New York City store in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 2019.

The retailer signed a 30-year lease to occupy the street and lower levels of the former Astor Place Kmart and will open in the latter part of 2023.
