Canada Goose names new Asia-Pacific president Canada Goose has appointed Paul Cadman as its new president for the Asia-Pacific region. Cadman has more than 30 years of strategic luxury goods experience and held leadership positions with global brands, including Salvatore Ferragamo, Asprey & Garrard, Bvlgari and Estee Lauder.
“Paul’s experience, entrepreneurial nature and regionally-specific industry knowledge make him the best fit for the role as we strengthen our brand presence and further execute against our long-term growth strategy,” said Reiss.
Cadman also founded PMC Global Hong Kong, a strategic management and business consultancy focused on the luxury goods industry.
The appointment is in line with Canada Goose’s strategy to deepen its influence in the Apac region, including its recent store openings in Harbin, Nanjing, Ningbo, Beijing, Taipei and Macau.
Retail Drinks Australia names new board director
Retail Drinks Australia held its AGM this week which included the re-election of 11 of the 12 previous board directors for a new two year term, according to The Shout.
Paul Heilman made the decision to step back from the organisation after 10 years, including three years as a foundation director.
Shane Madden, director of Retail Liquor Specialists Group and the owner and operator of 11 stores across regional NSW and the ACT, took Heilman’s place on the board
Chairman John Carmody thanked Heilman for his “significant contribution” and for his “time, energy, enthusiasm, passion, professionalism and care for the industry”.
“I also welcome and congratulate Shane Madden on his appointment, and on behalf of the Board and Management, look forward to working with you over the next two years, and to you being a strong representative for Liquor Store Members,” Carmody added.
As part of the AGM, Retail Drinks chief executive Michael Waters presented the FY21 Annual Report, which showed a strong financial performance.
Food Waikato announces new CEO
New Zealand dairy products manufacturer Food Waikato has appointed Tony Giles as its new chief executive.
Giles, former chief executive of New Zealand Dairy Goat Co-operative, brings in-depth knowledge of dairy manufacturing.
“Tony comes to FoodWaikato from New Zealand Dairy Goat Co-operative, so he not only has knowledge in the dairy goat industry, but he also brings a wealth of experience in dairy manufacturing, international marketing, leadership, and governance,” said FoodWaikato chairman Barry Harris.
Giles will take over from Stuart Gordon, who has led the business for the past nine years. Gordon will remain as part-time chief executive at Waikato Innovation Park, where FoodWaikato is based.
FoodWaikato tripled its manufacturing capacity in 2020 and its team has grown from two to almost 40 over the past nine years.
