Bang & Olufsen announces a new home for sound, design, and sensory experiences on London’s iconic New Bond Street in the heart of Mayfair.

Part of a 15-year redevelopment that restores a much-loved part of London to its former glory, Bang & Olufsen of Mayfair is located nearby the newly revitalised Hanover Square and the elegant Medici courtyard. Spanning 4000 square feet, the store – which was secured by Ross Freedman at Commercial Properties Specialist, LONIC – will open its doors in early 2023, giving visitors to London’s best known luxury shopping hub the opportunity to experience Bang & Olufsen’s unrivalled audio and craftsmanship in person.

“Our New Bond Street home will provide a buzzing, vibrant environment perfectly placed to showcase our brand and deliver the magical sound experiences Bang & Olufsen is renowned for. With the Elizabeth line now open, we’re readying ourselves to welcome visitors from all corners of the country to join us in our new London destination, just a two-minute walk from Bond Street station” says James Simons, Head of Retail UK & IE.

“While longstanding retail partnerships are still core to our business, the Mayfair store gives new and existing customers a dedicated space to immerse themselves in the Bang & Olufsen universe of seamless connected audio and visual products” he continues.

The store will come with a state-of-the-art demonstration space, delivering an immersive experience in-store that will showcase the products at their best and place Bang & Olufsen among likeminded luxury brands.

Rented on a multiyear lease, the store will also house an activation zone for a raft of curated events that cater to customers’ passions, including live workshops, music, podcast recordings, special guests, and more.

“Bang & Olufsen of Mayfair has been designed to capture the senses as you move through the store, inviting visitors to see, hear, and feel nearly 100 years of audio-visual innovation like never before. Nestled among luxury apartments, 18th century buildings, and a new public courtyard, the new store will strengthen our presence in London, while complementing our existing locations in the capital, such as Harrods and Selfridges” says Scott Anderson, Market Director at Bang & Olufsen.

The new flagship store embodies the same spirit of innovation as Bang & Olufsen’s products. Founded in Struer, Denmark in 1925, Bang & Olufsen has created iconic audio and home entertainment solutions that push the boundaries of sound and vision.

Looking to the future while honouring the past is at the forefront of
Bang & Olufsen’s approach. The company’s Recreated Classics Program is bridging the gap between the company’s most celebrated designs and today’s cutting-edge digital technology. This commitment to longevity means even the most advanced products are designed to last decades and promote responsible consumption.

Customers will be able to experience Bang & Olufsen’s unique approach to future-proof design, unparalleled craftsmanship, and outstanding sound in person at Bang & Olufsen of Mayfair, 72 New Bond Street, W1S 1RR from early 2023.
