Sportano, a start-up digital brand, has recently launched its first physical store experience in Warsaw, designed by leading retail design agency, Dalziel & Pow. This new flagship store offers an innovative proposition that combines a showrooming experience with fast and convenient digital fulfillment, and in-store order and collect services, bringing the brand’s online and offline presence together.

The store, which opened its doors late in 2022, offers a range of products across various categories, including Outdoor, Cycling, Soccer, and Team Sports, Tech, Winter and Water Sports, and more, catering to customers’ diverse needs. From the smallest accessory to large-scale, high-value equipment, customers can find everything they need under one roof.

What sets Sportano‘s store apart from traditional retail outlets is its focus on offering a unique customer experience. The store features a variety of test and trial experiences and services across Bike Fitting and Servicing, Equipment Rental and Repair, Outdoor Activities, and a compact Cafe for increased dwell time, creating a destination, category-defining new retail format.

The store’s design is robust, with an almost factory-like feel, contrasted with a layer of interactive, environmental, and promotional digital messaging that supports the brand story and customer journey. It is also scalable, with an emphasis on an endless aisle, where no space could ever be sufficient to present all the brand can offer.

Dalziel & Pow created the Experience Vision and designed all aspects of the customer journey, planning, store environment, and in-store brand communications, making sure that the customers’ needs are at the forefront of the store’s design.

The store’s unique proposition and design have been well received by customers, with positive feedback pouring in. The brand has successfully bridged the gap between online and offline retail, creating a seamless customer experience that caters to customers’ needs and offers a unique shopping experience.
