As one of the Mediterranean‘s most glamorous holiday destinations, Mykonos is firmly on the radar of luxury brands, and such, the island has its fair share of upscale boutiques and seasonal pop-ups. Indeed, the well-heeled don’t come here for a dip in the sea only. The house of Fendi is one of the latest to set up shop for the coming holiday season with a temporary retail space at Nammos Village, the island’s leading shopping centre. The Fendi pop-up store occupies 90 sqm. (969 sq.ft.) set across two floors of one of the open-air shopping centre’s low-rise structures. Built in a style common on the Cyclades, the interior design, created by the brand’s in-house design team, features subdued rustic elements, such as a ceiling made of wooden beams and bamboo, and oak flooring, and forms a perfect backdrop for the Fendi merchandise on offer.

The ground floor presents men’s and women’s leather goods, accessories and shoes displayed on turquoise shelves reminiscent of the colour of the sea. Stairs in ivory resin lead to the upper floor where the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections are displayed, including plenty of coveted Fendace items. The fitting room is inlaid with precious raffia wallpaper that’s also reminiscent of the sea. In addition to custom-made travertine, wood and rattan bamboo materials have been blenden into the local interior. Adding up to the rustic theme at the Fendi pop-up store are hand-coloured ceramic vases can be found throughout the premises. Additionally, shoppers can sit back after a tiresome shopping spree on one of the two comfy terraces. Here, comfy sofas are mixed and matched with raffia and bamboo furnishings, and the light blue resin flooring ties in with the similar sections on the ground floor.
