Installation for Day of the dead in San Miguel

Big news ! we are so excited about everything that is happening at the moment, a couple of months ago we started talking with Alex Medina, súper recognized fashion designer from our town in Mexico, about collaborating in some way. Well, today we begin this new project together: the pre-opening installation of what will become A store for the day of the Dead in Mexico, one of the most popular events in San Miguel de Allende.

The idea on this little exercise was to raise design to the importance it deserves.
‘Praise Death & Design’ was a spacial experiment where people could interact with the “flying souls” that where coming to visit the living through an altar we did from concrete pavers for the objects.

THE PARTY

The time came to receive visitors, and it was spectacular.
People from all over the world came in and started interacting with our floating “ghosts” really making the installation alive.

Our design Altar, with some of our favorite design pieces in company of Armónico Gin who was the sponsor of the night.

The installation and the party were a success. It was a wonderful introducción of A store to the city of San Miguel and we can’t wait to open up the shop! Soon to be open: Dec 2019. we hope to see you there!
