As part of their pursuit of a career in fashion merchandising, students at Northern Illinois University have created window displays decorated in a “Fall in Love with Fashion” theme, NIU Today writes.

The displays were the work of the Fashion Industries Organization (FIO), the student-run group for the university’s fashion merchandising program. The goal of the FIO is to provide development opportunities that aren’t available in a classroom setting, such as experiential field trips and an annual spring fashion show.

Senior and FIO President Drew Randazzo said the group’s members couldn’t wait to take on the window displays, especially after doing most things virtually last year. “These opportunities provide great talking points for networking events and interviews as well as content for résumés and digital portfolios,” he told the outlet.
