Aje eyes US expansion with NYFW debut

Australian fashion brand Aje has made its first “off-schedule appearance” at the New York Fashion Week. At an immersive show at Roll & Hill in Manhattan, the brand featured curated pieces from its Spring Summer 23 ‘Lumen’ collection teaming up with NY-based creative agency Replica. The brand says its ‘Lumen’ collection pays “homage to the perennial beauty and power of dawn, a symbol of hope and new beginnings”.

Australia’s Dusk fragrance store to launch in New Zealand

Home fragrance brand Dusk has announced plans to expand into New Zealand with three new stores to be launched across Auckland and Wellington. Dusk, founded in 1999, is an Australian retailer of home fragrance products including candles, diffusers, essential oils and fragrance homewares. The brand says Kiwis can now access its ranges both online and offline via its website and physical stores.

FADAA uses bio-concrete screens to shade D/O Aqaba retail space

Crushed shells were used to form the bio-brick partitions at this store for a decor brand in Aqaba, Jordan , by architecture studio FADAA. Designed by the Jordanian studio for Decoration One , the D/O Aqaba retail space is a flexible showcase for the local brand's craft-focused homeware and ornaments. Bricks made from crushed shells act as sun shades and spatial dividers in the D/O Aqaba store.

FTC Brings Action Against Company Calling its Chinese-Produced Mattress Pads “Made-in-America”

The FTC unanimously agreed to an enforcement action against American textile manufacturer Electrowarmth Products, LLC and the company’s owner for deceptively marketing its heated “bunk warmer” mattress pads products as Made in the USA. According to the FTC’s complaint , Electrowarmth’s products, while marked as being domestically made, were wholly manufactured and packaged in China, thus violating the Textile Act and the FTC’s Textile Rule.
