Meta seals partnership for 3D ads in step toward the metaverse

Meta Platforms will make it easier for brands to run three-dimensional ads on its Facebook and Instagram social media platforms through a new partnership with an ecommerce technology firm. The integration with VNTANA will allow brands to upload the 3D models of their products to Facebook and Instagram and easily convert them into ads, VNTANA said on Thursday in a press release.

Amazon launches electric HGV vehicles in UK first

Amazon has launched electric Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) into its delivery fleet for the first time in the UK. Five of the 37-tonne fully-electric vehicles are now operating from Amazon’s fulfilment centres in Tilbury and Milton Keynes, replacing diesel HGVs. The company claims that this will result in up to 100,000 annual road miles being fuelled with renewable electricity instead of diesel, thereby preventing 170 tonnes of CO2e from being emitted.
