Super Retail Group delivers record sales, eyes expansion

Super Retail Group has reported a “record” year of sales in its full-year results marked by a strong second-half performance – but its bottom line did not fare as well. For the year to July 2, the business says sales grew 2.8 per cent to $3.55 billion although tax-paid net profit fell 20 per cent to $244.1 million. Online sales grew 44 per cent to $601 million with click-and-collect accounting for 55 per cent of online sales — surging 73 per cent to $332 million.

FTC Sues Importer of LED Bulbs and COVID-19 PPE for “Made in USA” Violations

The FTC, through the Department of Justice, has entered a settlement with two companies and the joint corporate President for falsely claiming that the LED lighting products and personal protective equipment (PPE) they sold were “Assembled in the USA,” “Buy American Act Compliant,” “Manufactured in the USA” and “100% Made in the USA,” despite having been imported from China.

Temple and Webster CEO Mark Coulter reveals growth strategy

Reebok owner, Authentic Brands Group (ABG), is set to reveal a £200 million deal to buy London-based fashion brand Ted Baker – just two months after it withdrew an offer in June. Citing sources, SkyNews reports the acquisition – if it proceeds – would see the price cut from ABG’s initial offer of £300 million in May. Ted Baker chose ABG as the preferred bidder for its exclusive negotiations in May.
