Buyer sought after Send collapses into administration

A grocery delivery app that was founded in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic has collapsed into voluntary administration. Send offered grocery deliveries in under 10 minutes to 46,000 registered users, with an estimated 300 employees working for the company from 13 sties and several dark grocery stores in Sydney and Melbourne. The company entered voluntary administration on Tuesday, May 3, with administrators Matthew Kucianski and Matthew Jess of Worrells appointed to the company.

Dan Murphy’s MD to seek new Endeavour in the UK. Dan Murphy’s MD Alex Freudmann has resigned from the role to return home to his native UK with his family. Steve Donohue, MD & CEO of parent Endeavour Group, announced Freudmann’s decision today but he will remain in the role for six months while a replacement is found and a transition completed. Freudmann joined the business at the end of 2019 and played “an integral role” in the business’ success during his tenure, Donohue said.

DPD expands green fleet with 1,000 new electric vans

DPD has expanded its green fleet after agreeing a deal with Ford for 1,000 E-Transit vans. It will take DPD’s electric vehicle (EV) fleet to over 2,500 in total.
