Kaddy gets “Reborn” with new investment partner

Following its recent entry into administration, beverage tech platform Kaddy is getting a new lease on life by partnering with Singapore-based food and beverage investment company Lecca, which has given the business an overhaul – and a new name, Kaddy Reborn.

The revamped marketplace aims to deliver a simpler business model with a refreshed management team; a wider range of products; and improved application features that allow seamless delivery for suppliers and customers.

Kaddy CEO Steeve Voorma expressed confidence about the initiative and that Lecca’s expertise, support and funding have significantly strengthened the company’s market position.

“We have actively listened to the market and implemented a range of initiatives to enhance our offerings,” he continued.

“This collaboration, coupled with our simplified yet enhanced business model, will enable us to deliver an unparalleled market offering, setting the industry standard for suppliers and buyers.”

Kaddy Reborn aims to “disrupt” the alcohol distribution market in the country by leveraging Lecca’s expertise in the food and beverage industry.

With the new partnership, the company said customers would have access to a wider range of high-volume products at more competitive prices, including globally recognised beers and spirits like Corona, Peroni, Budweiser, Smirnoff, Absolute, Hendrick’s Gordon’s, Grey Goose, Jim Beam, Jameson Whisky, and Bombay Sapphire.

It will also enable retailers to open shops on its marketplace, where they can house their goods independently or in third-party warehouses contracted by Kaddy.

In addition, the company will offer credit terms of up to 60 days to select customers and improved management and point-of-sale systems.

“With these enhancements, Kaddy Marketplace will offer a complete suite of craft and fast-moving beverages and be a truly one-stop replenishment and shopping destination for its customers,” concluded Voorma.

Lecca is a regional investment holding company that focuses on food and beverage, distribution, logistics and reimagined retail and e-commerce. Its online alcohol delivery business Cellarbration is a leader in Singapore, with multiple outlets and one of the largest selections of wines, spirits, whiskies and beers.
