British soft drinks brand, Cawston Press is pleased to announce its first ever consumer activation, the No Jiggery Pokery Comedy Show in support of FareShare, the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste. Taking place at London’s iconic Clapham Grand for one night only on 8th June, the No Jiggery Pokery Comedy Show offers consumers a night of stand-up comedy, poking the nonsense and ridiculousness experienced in everyday life, accompanied by Cawston Press refreshments.
Lending itself to Cawston Press’ clean, honest and simple ingredients, the comedy show will educate consumers on the real meaning of Cawston Press’ tagline No Jiggery Pokery, and shine a spotlight on the rubbish and trickery going on in our day to day lives with the help of a stellar lineup of comedians. Hosting the evening will be popular British comedian, Lou Sanders (as seen on Taskmaster, QI and Would I Lie to You?), who will be joined by Pierre Novellie, Ahir Shah and Glenn Moore.
The No Jiggery Pokery Comedy Show coincides with Cawston Press’ summer ATL campaign, including OOH and VOD advertising across London and Bristol. The No Jiggery Pokery tagline aims to showcase Cawston Press’ Sparkling Juice Drink range, made with no added sugar, no sweeteners, no misleading language, and never using concentrates.
Kat Jones, Marketing Director at Cawston Press said: ‘We are so excited to bring our messaging of ‘Made with Pressed Fruit, No Jiggery Pokery’ to life with this comedy show, and are thrilled to be working with such a strong lineup of comedians to do so. We hope our first step into the comedic space is the first of many! Through this activation, we aim to raise awareness of our brand ethos and the real meaning of No Jiggery Pokery whilst bringing some much needed joy and laughter to consumers for the evening and most importantly, raising donations to our charity partner FareShare.’
Throughout the evening, consumers will also be able to enjoy Cawston Press refreshments, with an exclusive cocktail menu curated especially for the evening including a selection of Pressed Juices and Sparkling Juice Drinks. The limited edition Cawston Cocktails and Mocktails on offer range from the Let the fun Be-Gin to the Rhubarb AperLols Spritz, all in line with the No Jiggery Pokery theme.
The comedy evening aims to raise awareness and donations to Cawston Press’ charity partner, FareShare, the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors. For more than 23 years, FareShare has been working with the food industry to identify quality, in date surplus food, and redistribute it to nearly 9,500 frontline charities and community groups across the country, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. FareShare reached over 1 million people with food during the course of 2022, an average of over 20,000 individuals per week.
