Away Names Three New Executives

Chief operating officer, chief marketing officer and chief digital officer join brand

Travel brand Away (New York) has added three executives to its leadership team, according to a press release.

Charles Liu joins the brand as COO, and he will lead the retailer’s end-to-end supply chain and business technology teams. He has previously held roles at Walmart, Shopko and Walgreens and was most recently COO at Casper Sleep.

Melissa Weiss comes on-board as CMO; she will head the brand’s marketing organization, including brand marketing, growth marketing, creative and communications teams. Previously she was head of marketing at Lyft’s Micromobility business, CMO of Barry’s Bootcamp and has also held leadership positions at Theory and Amazon Fashion.

Finally, Luke Chatelain joins Away as Chief Digital Officer, a newly created role. He will oversee the digital product, UX and insights teams and was previously VP, Innovation and Digital Product, at West Elm, as well as Chief Digital Officer at J.Crew.
