Development Victoria sells town centre site for $12.3 million

Melbourne’s Riverwalk Town Centre has been acquired for $12.3 million by Oreana Group from the state government’s property arm Development Victoria. The 3.01ha shopping centre site lies 35kms from the Melbourne CBD in the area of Werribee. Since 2011, the government property developer has been delivering homes, infrastructure and open space throughout the Riverwalk estate.

Online retail growth in freefall in May, IMRG Capgemini Online Retail Index shows

Online retail sales growth fell -8.7% Year-on-Year (YoY) in May 2022, despite being measured against a negative performance in May 2021 (-6%), as trading conditions continue to be very tough. Bucking a trend for positive growth between the two months, May’s results also represented a -0.6% dip Month-on-Month (MoM) against April. That’s according to the latest IMRG Capgemini Online Retail Index, which tracks online sales for 200 retailers.

DHL introduces 20 bi-LNG trucks into M&S fleet

DHL has introduced 20 bio-LNG trucks into its M&S fleet which will replace existing diesel trucks and deliver up to 80% reduction in carbon emissions when fuelled with bio-LNG and 10-20% with fossil gas. It’s estimated that by using bio-LNG, carbon emissions in the M&S fleet will be reduced by 2,200 tonnes a year. The 20 trucks will operate across the M&S fleet in Peterborough, Swindon and Castle Donington.
