Jack in the Box Inc. (San Diego) has a signed agreement with Cedar Tree Restaurant Group (Fruit Cove, Fla.) for 37 new restaurants and 46 existing stores in four Southeast markets: Nashville, Tenn.; Baton Rouge, La.; Greenville, S.C.; and Charlotte, N.C.

This deal comes on the heels of the brand’s fourth-quarter earnings call, where it was announced that Jack in the Box is projecting positive net unit growth for the first time in four years. Out of the 267 new franchise commitments that have been signed with Jack in the Box since mid-2021, the Cedar Tree agreement represents its single-largest deal.

“I became familiar with Jack in the Box during my time living in California, so I understand the strong following fans already have for the brand and the unique space that Jack occupies in the industry,” says Cedar Tree’s Jeff Yablun in a press release.

Jack in the Box Inc. operates and franchises more than 2180 restaurants under its flagship burger-and-fries brand across 21 states, along with about 600 Del Taco Mexican-American quick-service restaurants in 15 states.
