Retailer posted more than 2300 open positions in second quarter

Athletic retailer Under Armour (Baltimore, Md.) has been on a hiring spree, posting more than 2300 available jobs in the second quarter, according to GlobalData. That represents a 151 percent increase over first quarter 2021.

“As things get back to normal, Under Armour is coming back strongly with sales up sharply. Against this backdrop, the business is more confident in recruiting for positions it put on hold during the pandemic. The business is also moving strategically by placing more emphasis on direct-to-consumer sales, which necessitates additional roles,” said Neil Saunders, Managing Director, US Retail, GlobalData.

Among the positions listed were openings for stock teammate and stock lead at distribution centers as well as seasonal sales teammate in stores.
