After an agreement with the White House expired, Walmart (Bentonville, Ark.) and Kroger (Cincinnati) raised the price of Abbott’s BinaxNOW at-home Covid test kit, reports CNBC. Under the agreement announced in September, Walmart, Amazon and Kroger agreed to sell the tests “at cost” for three months. The tests, which were priced at $14 last month, were listed on the Walmart website yesterday for $19.88 and at Kroger for $23.99 and were marked “sold out” on both retailers’ web sites.
