Mitchell & Ness (Philadelphia) is planning to significantly increase its physical footprint with five to six store openings in the U.S. and “hundreds” more in Asia, according to a report from the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 117-year-old purveyor of heritage sports apparel was acquired from Adidas by a private equity firm in 2016. Since then, the retailer has been enjoying sales growth, with CEO Kevin Wulff telling the paper that he and his team have “aggressively built a company from scratch.”

Mitchell & Ness has a flagship in Philadelphia and another store in Los Angeles. The article says it’s currently surveying potential locations for new U.S. stores that will be similar to the flagship. Two or three of those stores will open next year, and the rest will open in 2023.
