Amazon Australia offers ‘One-Day’ free delivery – with many catches

Amazon Australia is promising its Prime members free next-day delivery in “most areas of” Melbourne and Sydney. Billed a little misleadingly as “One-Day Delivery” the online behemoth says the initiative will see Prime members receive their goods the following day “on eligible items” with an order cut-off time “which can be as late as midnight”. Goods will be delivered the next day without a minimum spend required.

Sports Direct opens new store in Preston

Sports Direct has opened the doors to a brand-new 35,000sq. ft store in Preston, as part of the group’s strategic expansion plans. The store, which is situated in Deepdale Shopping Park houses Sports Direct, USC, Evans Cycles and GAME as well as a Belong esports arena. South Australia set to extend Sunday retail trading hours

Draft legislation set to be introduced to South Australia’s state Parliament would allow retailers to open two hours earlier on Sundays, at 9am. If passed, the legislation would also permit Boxing Day trading across metropolitan Adelaide between 9am and 5pm. Both of the nation’s retail associations have welcomed the move. ARA CEO Paul Zahra described the proposed changes as “a small but significant step” in modernising South Australia’s outdated trading hour regime.

Royal Mail shake up could see deliveries after 6pm, reports suggests
