John Lewis Fashion Rental is working with Zyler to launch our ‘Try It On’ service, a first for a UK rental site. The service allows customers to virtually ‘Try On’ their chosen outfits before committing to their rental purchase.
The customer simply uploads their headshot, and inputs their height, bra size and dress size which then allows them to click on the ‘Try It On’ icon hovering above the product. An image will be generated, adapting the image that is already on the site. This will allow the customer to see if the length is appropriate for what they are looking for, or whether a certain style fits them well or if the colour suits their skin tone.
Danielle Gagola, Innovation Lead at John Lewis says, ‘We’re extremely excited to be able to lead the way in rental innovation by partnering with Zyler on our new ‘Try It On’ function. It allows our customers to experiment with more styles, colours and lengths in products which they may not have tried before.
‘We’re always looking for ways to encourage our customers to use our more sustainable services, and hopefully this function will encourage customers to give renting a go!’
In Zyler’s previous trials they have noted that an average customer will scroll through 250 different outfits using the technology. We hope that our customers will have fun using the function, and consider rental in their everyday lives.
