Can a smaller-format Whole Foods help Amazon win in the grocery market?

Last week, Amazon-owned grocery chain Whole Foods announced the launch of a new format store, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, to make grocery shopping more convenient for urban consumers.  The first location is expected to open in New York City later this year. It will be the first Whole Foods store in Manhattan to offer Juice & Java, a venue for coffee, tea, fresh pressed juices, smoothies, sandwiches, soups and various desserts. Whole Foods plans to expand this model to additional location
