Coty inks beauty license with Marni

Beauty retail giant Coty has secured a license agreement with Italian luxury fashion house Marni to develop, produce and distribute a line of fragrances and beauty products beyond 2040.

The long-term partnership with Marni is part of Coty’s effort to strengthen its presence in the luxury fragrance market. Under the deal, the first offering is scheduled to launch in 2026, reflecting the fashion house’s creative identity.

“This licensing agreement aligns with Coty’s highly successful strategic direction of focusing on fashion-driven licenses with multi-category potential that resonate across key markets,” said Sue Nabi, CEO at Coty.

The deal follows Coty’s recent license renewal with Jil Sander, further strengthening its partnership with OTB Group, parent company of Marni and Jil Sander.

“This long-term vision agreement gives Marni the opportunity to shape its values in new creative ways and to strengthen its luxury positioning by landing in the world of beauty and fragrances,” said Ubaldo Minelli, CEO at OTB Group.

Founded in 1904 in Paris, the NYSE-listed beauty company offers prestige and mass-market products in more than 125 countries and territories. Its portfolio includes Vera Wang, Tiffany & Co, Orveda, Philosophy, and Kylie Cosmetics.

The company reported net sales of US$1.64 billion for the three months ended September 30, up 18 per cent year over year.
